CADA has a volunteer program that enables members of the community to take part in providing services to survivors of abuse. Because CADA serves all of Island County, CADA's volunteers are tremendously important to the agency and greatly appreciated.

There are many benefits to volunteering at CADA.  Some of these include:

  • Development of marketable skills for future career opportunities.

  • Opportunities to better understanding survivors’ experiences.

  • Training and other learning opportunities.

  • Documentation of training and work experience.

If you are interested in a volunteer position with CADA, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Kaycee, at 360-675-7057. You can stop by our office to pick up an application or download an application from the link below.

INVOLVED

Donated cellular telephones are given free of charge to survivors of domestic violence, stalking or sexual abuse/assault. In such cases, a cellular phone enables a survivor to call 9-1-1 quickly and easily, and assists in their transition from a life of fear to a feeling of protection, 24-hours a day.

Please note:

  • No cellular contracts are needed for this 9-1-1 service.

  • Only cell phones in good working order with chargers are provided to survivors.

  • Cell phones in non-working order and without chargers are sent to an organization that recycles them for domestic violence agencies. Proceeds from this recycling program are donated to CADA.

  • We accept all cell phones, working or not. However, the battery must be included with the phone.
