First Harvest Celebration!

Mrs. Skaley's Second-Grade Class

Almost the end of the school year and we’re celebrating our first harvest!

Mrs. Skaley’s 2nd grade class had their own jobs of setting up the party, harvesting the greens, serving the salad and cleaning up when the party was finished. Farm to School Steering Committee member Anne Harvey and Principal Dave Ebersole joined in the festivities!

Happy Summer!

Student Garden Visits

Just because school is out for the summer doesn’t mean the garden stops growing! Students are welcome to visit the elementary or middle/high school gardens but must be accompanied by an adult.

Thank you and have a wonderful summer break!

Girl Scouts Clean Up Elementary Gardens

Summer Volunteers

You may recognize some of these faces. Girl Scout troop 42577 started the school year at a work party to lay down sheet mulch, and they’re spending some of their summer break helping maintain the elementary school gardens. Thank you Jillian Taylor, Aurora Cernick, Autumn Cernick and Marissa Williams along with leaders Lori Taylor and Michelle Cernick. Three wheelbarrow loads of grass, thistle and weeds over 2 hours put a big dent in keeping our gardens looking great!
